Hawzah News Agency, Kamal Al-Khair, head of the National Center in North Lebanon, has stated that the continued offering of concessions by the Lebanese government falls within the framework of unqualified individuals holding official positions – people who have failed to shoulder their national responsibility.
Al-Khair stressed that their duty was to defend the homeland and their people, and not to surrender to Zionist-American dictates. Therefore, he called for efforts in the next phase to form a national unity government encompassing all forces and serving the public interest, as the current stage demands a unified position – contrary to decisions taken today by the ruling authority that stand against the people.
'Shameful meeting' in Washington
The Lebanese official described a media meeting held in Washington between Lebanon's ambassador to the United States and the ambassador of the Zionist regime – mediated by the US – as a "shameful meeting," noting that it coincided with continued widespread aggression against Lebanon, during which thousands have been martyred or wounded by American missiles fired by the enemy army at various parts of the country.
Al-Khair also emphasized the importance of the national stance taken by Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament – a stance that provided essential cover for the national unity manifested during the war and has now been reinforced by his recent statement.
Internal peace and unity as red lines
Al-Khair stressed that internal peace and unity are red lines, and any violation of these two pillars – from any side – constitutes an assault on Lebanon's existence and a free gift to the Israeli enemy and its schemes, which can only succeed through sowing discord.
Iran's daily pressure made the difference
The head of the National Center in North Lebanon emphasized that had it not been for Iran's daily pressure during negotiations – and the condition of no return to negotiations except after a ceasefire in Lebanon, which was also announced by the Pakistani side – alongside the courageous and legendary steadfastness on the ground, particularly against the Zionist enemy army in the south and especially in the heroic epic of the city of Bent Jbeil, no ceasefire would have been achieved.
He added that everyone knows the enemy's primary goal was the complete occupation of southern Lebanon, but its tanks and soldiers were defeated by the great sacrifices of the sons of this land from the Resistance forces, who watered the earth with their pure blood.
Learning from Hezbollah's 45-day battle
Al-Khair called for drawing lessons from this battle – a battle waged by Hezbollah over 45 days, proving through the sacrifices of its youth that the Zionist enemy understands only the language of power. From this, he said, emerges the necessity of utilizing Lebanon's main source of strength: the Resistance and its weapons – weapons that today are the sole deterrent against the enemy's schemes in the country.
Salute to the people of Resistance
Al-Khair also saluted the people who support the Resistance – people who have proven their patience and loyalty in practice by returning immediately to their lands, ignoring Zionist threats, maintaining historic adherence to the national stance, backing the Resistance, and being ready to sacrifice every possibility in defense of the homeland.
Regional efforts and call for unified front
On the regional level, Al-Khair praised the efforts being made by Pakistan, alongside the Islamic Republic of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt to strengthen unity and stability in Arab and Islamic countries. He called on these nations to form a unified front to confront the Zionist-American project – a project seeking to dominate the region's oil and water resources and impose its agenda upon the nations of the Ummah.
